Alex did such an amazing job on our wedding video… and I couldn’t believe how fast the edit was, a total of 9 days!
Alex and Adam were both at our wedding day, arrived at our air...
bnb promptly. Even though I must add, they were a bit quiet at first which made me extra shy.. therefore I had to hit a few shots to calm my nerves, but both were both very kind and sweet. The way the edits were for the short-film were made so differently than what I’m used to other weddings. You would either see Alex and Adam pass by and take a 10-second clip/recording and then swiftly give us pointers on what he wanted to capture. It’s so crazy to see such simple efforts and recordings … but turned out sooo beautifully captured.
I have shown the video to MANY of my family, friends & colleagues and guests, and I must tell you about 8/10 were quite moved and emotional. Also, the song choice of mine really did add the cherry on top…
I was in awe and watery-eyed when I realized Alex had the edit done within 9 days after our wedding on April 16, 2023, and the edit was sent on April 25, 2023. Alex, thank you for being a part of our day and a moment in our lives I’d never forget. Life gets us sometimes, and sometimes even the best of us. But whatever life paths you face, you will face with grace and triumph it through, through all the hardships, Alex. I remember what we spoke about briefly, and just know, “Everything will always turn out okay.” You have a gift, and I’m so glad you shared it with us. Thank you also to Adam for also being a part of our journey, all of us together.
Kaitlin, you have been nothing but amazing throughout this 1 year of communication. You never failed to not respond to any of my emails, and you always given me reassurance and without a doubt, given me such a smooth process while I was planning our wedding all by myself. You made this process easy yet enjoyable. I would love to work with you and the team or Shutter & Sound again someday. But most definitely, refer this amazing company for giving me a piece of our lives that we can re-watch again and again. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
I was immediately obsessed with Shutter & Sound’s video style and knew I had to hire them for our wedding. They were so easy to work with, made the process seamless and were very p...
rofessional. They have packages for all kinds of budgets, and I love that there are so many options (i.e. being able to get all of the raw footage on top of the main video). Our head videographer, Mike, was awesome! He was kind, knowledgeable and got along with our photographer great, as they paired up quite a bit. Between him and the second videographer, they were able to capture all the moments from the day from every angle. I highly recommend Shutter & Sound!
We were absolutely thrilled with Shutter + Sound’s work doing videography for our wedding. Alex was our lead videographer, and he has an incredible eye for detail. We were complete...
ly blown away at how beautifully everything was shot when we got the highlight reel, and could not help but marvel at how perfectly he and his assistant captured the day. Julian also did an amazing job coordinating, and was very quick to respond to all of our emails. Also important to note that they let you choose your highlight reel song, and there are so many amazing options to choose from! A lot of our friends and family were on the fence about whether a videographer was necessary, and I have to say that I think every couple should hire one for their wedding. Our video really captured the magic of the day, and makes me cry every time I watch it! We would highly recommend Shutter + Sound to anyone.
I can't believe we almost didn't hire a videographer - we are SO SO happy we did. Our video left us speechless. Alex did a truly amazing job with our highlight video - we've watc...
hed it so many times over the last couple days and it still brings us to tears. We will cherish this for years and years to come.
I'd also like to note Alex specifically had a very calm & professional demeanor the whole day - he was a joy to have be a part of our wedding & we got numerous comments from guests that they thought very highly of him the day-of (& then again of course even more compliments after seeing the video!).
Highly recommend shutter & sound. From start to finish, they were a kind, responsive & wonderful vendor. Everything was easy & stress-free. The videography coordinator, Kaitlin, was also amazing.
The most stylish wedding film ever!
Our videographer decision was a last minute add on for our wedding. There are many videos that I watched when picking a videographer and to me they all seemed corny and too on the...
nose. Shutter and Sound did an incredible job with our video and we are THRILLED! Highly recommend. They were easy to work with and truly created a beautiful memory for us.
We loved Shutter and Sound! After reviewing SO many different videographers we found them on the knot and loved all of the great reviews and highlight videos. They have a lot of ...
different package and upgrade options which was cool. We worked with Mike the day of the wedding and he was amazing at getting all the footage the day of the wedding while hanging in the background. We got our 1 minute video a couple days after the wedding and our full video within a couple of weeks! I even asked for two small tweaks to the video and they have been very accommodating. 10/10 definitely recommend!
10/10 recommend! We previously had booked a different ( not so reliable) videographer recommended from a friend. We changed over to shutter and sound a month before the wedding and...
I could not be anymore pleased! They were professional, reliable, friendly, and personable from start to finish. They went above and beyond to meet our needs and we received our video on our honeymoon, a week after the wedding. The timeliness was amazing. Worth every penny and I would definitely invest in their company as it is the only footage you’ll have of your special day to look back on
Alex and his assistant (I totally forgot his name!) were amazing. When they arrived to shoot they were professional, and also really cool guys to have around. They were also super ...
patient with us & worked well with our photographer. The end result of our video: WOW! It came out beautiful, we look great, and they captured the essence of the day so well. We also purchased the raw footage, and we cannot wait to see it. I am so, so, happy we booked them.
My wife and I absolutely love how the video came together! We feel like the Shutter and Sound team captured and represented all of the special moments even better than we hoped. Ev...
eryone we’ve showed it to has been impressed as well! Alex and his assistant were friendly and great to work with on the day of. We'd absolutely use these folks again if the opportunity arises.
We booked Shutter and Sound's videography services for our 11/23/2019 wedding and were extremely happy with our decision! Our lead videographer was David and his assistant was Tony...
. Both were very professional throughout the day of the wedding and they worked seamlessly with our photographers (who were from a different company). They are clearly very experienced videographers who know how to capture the best wedding moments without being obstructive. They were adaptable and enthusiastic about capturing the best shots. We booked "The Short" package and received our beautiful highlight video within two weeks of our wedding--a treat we got to enjoy during our honeymoon! We are in love with our video and are looking forward to viewing the rest of the raw footage once it is delivered.
Shutter & Sound were the PERFECT videographers to choose for our wedding. They arrived early just to get some extra context shots and to make sure the lighting was ideal. Both of o...
ur videographers clearly have such a incredible artistic eyes and we bawled our eyes out when we saw the video they made. I truly don't know how they managed to pull off such a fast turnaround time: we were happy to wait for a month or two but we received our video just a couple days into our honeymoon. Incredible service, professionalism, artistry, and just all around wonderful people to work with!! Highly recommended!!
Working with Shutter and Sound was amazing, the videographers arrived on time, were incredibly friendly, and got a ton of footage without feeling like you had a camera in your face...
all night. They communicated with us very effectively before and after the wedding, and we got our completed video within 2 weeks of the wedding. It's an incredibly video that I've watched about 100 times. Everyone who sees it says it looks like a real movie, they captured so many great moments and edited it together perfectly. 10/10 would recommend using them!
We had an amazing experience working with Shutter and Sound, and we couldn't be happier with our wedding highlight video - we have probably watched it at least 20 times since we fi...
rst received it about a week ago. Alex was our videographer and he is a complete professional and knew exactly what he was doing, and made us feel really comfortable the entire time. He also did an absolutely fantastic job editing the video, which flowed seamlessly and beautifully. Their pricing is also extremely fair, and the quality of the work is really top-notch. We are so happy we opted for a videographer, as we'll be able to replay these happy memories over and over again, all thanks to Shutter and Sound!
To say I am obsessed with our wedding trailer is an understatement! Kenny with Shutter and Sound in Chicago did an absolutely fantastic job capturing our day and the resulting tra...
iler is like something for a movie. What really drew me to this company is that when I watched their videos, I cried. They made me emotional and I didn't even know the people in them! Needless to say, I cried about the first 15 times I watched my own video. Shutter and Sound beautifully captures the feelings and emotions of the day, and I am so glad we worked with them!
We had a wonderful experience working with Kylee Parks, the scheduling manager, and Austen Paul, our main video producer, for our October 2018 wedding in San Mateo, CA. From the v...
ery start, Kylee was extremely attentive, patient, thorough, and helpful in guiding us through package, music selection, and wedding day decisions. She was easily accessible through email and by phone, accommodating every question and request we made. Kylee was a joy to work with and made the overall planning and logistical experience smooth and pleasant.
On our wedding day, we met Austen and his lovely second cinematographer. They both arrived early, looked professional, and were ready to get to work. Austen and his second shooter were creative with their angles, perfected lighting and colors, and knew how to beautifully capture the moment without interfering. They made us, our family, and honored guests feel comfortable and most importantly, free to be ourselves. We appreciated how they worked collaboratively with our photographers under our strict time constraints, especially since they both needed to get their necessary shots.
Our short highlight video was ready in just 7 days after our wedding. We were impressed, to say the least, with the quick turnaround time but also with the professional quality of the video. Austen and his team were generous with their time, even allowing us to make changes to our finalized product. After a few weeks, we received our highlight video, our multi-cam edit, and the raw footage in a convenient external hard drive. We will be sure to replay them for years to come as we reminisce on our wonderful day. We could not be happier with the Shutter and Sound Films SF team and we, along with my professional photographer brother, will be highly recommending them to our engaged family and friends.
Amazing! Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful, responsive, and most importantly: friendly. Our main shooter was Eric and not only is he great at what he does, but he’s als...
o personable and great to have with you for 8+ hours!! It was less than 20 degrees the day of our wedding and our first look was outside. Eric made sure to get every shot he needed as quickly as possible without losing any quality. He didn’t waste any time planning his next shot or what he wanted us to do. He knew exactly what he was doing the entire time.
Kylee, the Scheduling Manager, helped with all the “paperwork” and answered all of our questions throughout the entire process. She was so quick to respond to my emails that it was like we were having a real-time conversation! One thing I really liked was how we paid. It was through an electronic debit from your checking account and you could pay as much as you wanted, anytime you wanted, as long as it was completely paid off by the due date. With all the vendors needing final payments around the same time and mostly all requesting these payments via check, it was great to have the option to make instantaneous payments throughout the months on our own schedule.
We received our highlight video literally FIVE DAYS after the wedding. How fast is that?! The video is absolutely perfect and we are continuously receiving compliments on it. We can’t stop watching it ourselves! The rest of our package will be delivered in the upcoming weeks, but I am so glad we already have the highlight.
I love that Shutter and Sound allows you to purchase all the raw footage from the day. I know I missed out on so much and I’m excited to be able to catch some of it! This is in addition to the ceremony and speeches, which I also can’t wait to watch. So happy we’ll be able to have all of this for the rest of our lives—and this is coming from a couple who originally decided NOT to have a videographer.
Love Shutter and Sound and am so, so happy we found them for our wedding day!
I was married on New Years Day at Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, MA and Shutter and Sound's Boston team BLEW US AWAY. From day one, Quinn was so unbelievably helpful and kind. My ...
now husband and I went back and forth on having a videographer and we are SO VERY GLAD that we did. If you are on the fence, don't hesitate - you need Shutter and Sound in your life. Cody was our videographer and he was nothing short of incredible. He was so lovely to work with and made the planning process a breeze. We aren't local to MA anymore but Cody was not only flexible with our planning phone calls, but he completely took any worry/stress out of planning from a distance. He was amazing on the day of the wedding and made the process so fun. We just received our highlight video yesterday (just two weeks after the wedding!) and we are so obsessed. We have watched it 100 times in the past 12 hours and love it more every time. Cody captured our day so perfectly. We can't say enough good things about Cody, Quinn, and Shutter and Sound. We are forever grateful!
Our highlight video for those who are curious: https://vimeo.com/311514185
My husband and I got married this past New Years Eve at the Boston Harbor Hotel and so far, Shutter and Sound has exceeded our expectations. Initially, I was apprehensive about hir...
ing a videographer, it seemed like a large extra expense that we could do without. However, I had done a lot of research, and took the plunge with Shutter and Sound. I’m so glad we made the decision to hire them to do the videography for our wedding. Cody, our Boston-based videographer from Shutter and Sound was wonderful to partner with and produced EXCEPTIONAL work. We just received our highlight video and were BLOWN AWAY. We highly highly recommend using this company and requesting Cody (if you are in the Boston area). We had such a positive experience and are sure we will have plenty more to rave about when we see our full feature documentary which is scheduled to arrive in about a month. FIVE STARS to Cody from Shutter and Sound, you rocked it!
We were so happy with our choice to use Shutter and Sound for our wedding. When looking for videographers, it was their editing style that stood out to me compared to others. After...
seeing their work on their website, I knew they were the ones for us! Quinn was a pleasure to work with and was extremely responsive to all of our questions. Our videographer Mike was amazing to work with and is incredibly talented! He captured every little detail of our wedding day. We can’t stop watching our highlight video! It moved us and our family and friends to tears. It is beautifully done and is something we will cherish forever.
Shutter and Sound were fabulous to work with. The entire team was very responsive from the beginning to the end. On our actual wedding day they came prepared and ready to get the b...
est shots. We received our Highlight Video within a week and were beyond happy with the quality and detail.
We highly recommend using Shutter and Sound if you want the best quality and a professional team!
I can't believe we ever considered skipping a videographer! Shutter and Sound is worth every penny!
Alex and Elissa were totally unobtrusive, and somehow captured all the amazing ...
moments that meant so much to us, even some that were such a blur that we didn't remember until seeing the short video. Video really conveys our personalities and the way that my dress moved, in a way that still photos didn't manage to capture.
We didn't want the usual "getting ready" shots, and Alex is such a professional that he didn't need any extra directions to send us a perfectly-edited short video. (Also, it turns out that you can't use a drone in NYC/Brooklyn anymore, but they had amazing footage to use, so we weren't even upset.) We were so surprised to get the email that the video was ready while we were still on our honeymoon! It is just the right length (about 3 minutes) and it lets me re-live our wedding day every time I watch it.
We had the pleasure of using Shutter and Sound of Boston for our wedding in October 2018. Our videographers, Michael and Kevin, were amazing! They first met the bride and groom a...
t their respective homes, and filmed every moment leading up to the ceremony. During the ceremony they used multiple cameras in order to make sure they did not miss a thing! Same thing goes for the reception, where it seemed that they were always in the middle of the action, making sure to document each special moment. They captured so many incredible moments that went by in the blink of an eye, but that we will now be able to remember and cherish for our entire lives! When we received our highlight video a few weeks after the wedding, we were blown away!! Somehow, they were able to fit all of the most important moments into a perfectly flowing masterpiece that captured the essence of our wedding day! All of our families and friends could not stop sending us compliments in regard to how much they loved the highlight video. We are currently waiting for our hard drive of the multi-camera edit and the raw footage, but if the highlight video is any representation of what is to come, we are sure to be extremely pleased with this as well. Overall, we were extremely happy with our choice of videographer, and we would recommend Shutter and Sound of Boston to all our friends and families.

eel and have probably watched it 200 times by now. I am a buyer by trade so I'm constantly researching and ranking to make the best purchasing decision. I had an entire spreadsheet of vendor names and gave everyone grades based on their services, prices, personalities, etc. Shutter and Sound was a no brainer compared to everyone else! They are affordable, reliable and super talented. Thank you Shutter and Sound!
Shutter and Sound is an efficient and super organized production team! I emailed them to inquire about availability and was immediately contacted with the scheduler who ironed out ...
some initial details and BAM, I had my videography team within a few emails. They are clear in their instructions and process; I felt very taken care of and assured that I would be well taken care of. They have reasonable prices for really thorough packages. About a week before my wedding, i was contacted by the videographers that would work my big day and both David/Tony turned out to be such fun guys! You can tell they love their job and really want to get the best shots possible. They have such an artistic vision and my video has the perfect romantic yet carefree edit that I wanted.
From the very start, Quinn was so helpful explaining the different packages, all the way to gathering all the information needed for our big day. We ended up choosing "The Short" w...
hich includes 3-4 min cinematic highlight and a 1-2 hour multi-cam edit of ceremony and main events of reception, documentary-style. We also added on the raw footage. "Mike, Not Joe" was our main videographer and he couldn't have been more kind and calm, he made us feel so at ease. The other videographer, who started with the guys and who's name I didn't catch, was reportedly, "the bomb" and helped tie their ties and instruct them on proper tie clip placement.
We received our highlight video, TWO, yes, you read that right, TWO DAYS after our wedding. Of course we had to watch it right away despite being in a brewery in Maine on our mini-moon. It left both of us crying our eyes out, I think I audibly sobbed. It's a masterpiece. My dad said it best, I think; he said they captured us and our personalities so perfectly after only knowing us for a short amount of time. And a friend said it second best; "Hunter Hayes WISHES that was his music video!" I've probably watched it about 50 times in the past 37 days since we've received it and have also thrown it up on a giant TV at work and showed 25 of my coworkers. Everyone that watches it cries and is floored by the quality and beauty and how fast we received it! We haven't received our long form video yet, but I'm sure it's going to be equally as amazing. Don't hesitate, hire Shutter and Sound!
TL;DR
15/10 recommend. Absolutely incredible. Best decision we've ever made.
We are so happy with our video! All the moments captured in the most amazing way. Alex and Elisa were very easy to work with the day of. Alex even went out of the way to get drone ...
footage for us :) We are also glad to receive all the raw footage which we opted in to purchase. Thank you Shutter & Sound!
P.S. Feel free to check out our video for your reference! https://vimeo.com/295649885
Shutter and Sound is profoundly good at what they do. Quinn, our contact there, was always on top of things, very easy to work with, and was very responsive.

re nothing short of masterful on our big day. We've actually seen the two of them work twice now (once for a friend's wedding a month prior to our own, and then our own this past weekend), and each time, they captured high-quality footage both individually and together.
We can't recommend Shutter and Sound enough, and we can't recommend these three highly enough. If you decide to go with them, you'll be in very capable hands.
Shutter and Sound completely surpassed our expectations. We chose them because they had a true cinematic style in all their videos and also offered a drone. Their video packages ar...
e also very competitive and reasonable, you get alot!!! Our videographer was Michael and he was amazing to work it! Very nice and courteous and communication was superb. To be available like that definitely makes the experience that much better and enjoyable. Communication with the company is also great, through Quinn who takes care of the pre-event details. We are highly recommending them to all our friends!

ncredibly talented with an artistic eye. Our highlight video came back so quickly and looks like a trailer to the greatest love story ever told. The Shutter and Sound team was so lovely to work with answering our questions and making our day feel like a dream. Hans captured raw and real moments without ever getting in the way of them, made us feel very comfortable and put our video together beautifully. We truly can't say enough good things about Shutter and Sound.

ERFECT videographer for our big day was a top priority.
We live in San Francisco, but our wedding was down in Disneyland, so we actually used The Knot to start our search for Southern California videographers. I pretty much spent a month researching a number of videographers, watching so many different videos, but I always found myself going back to Shutter & Sound. Well, we decided to book them.
On the day of our Wedding, Alex was amazing! We were able to get a ton of shots and he never felt in the way. It wasn't until I received my video (which was just 2 days ago!) when I realized just HOW amazing Alex (& the 2nd videographer) were. The shots were PERFECT. They were better than I could have every imagined. He gave us a lot of directions on the day of the wedding and in the moment it was sometimes feel kind of funny, but he knew what he was doing because those shots were perfect. And then the editing of the video - AMAZING. I can't stop watching this video and everyone along with my husband and I are obsessed with it!
This wasn't just a regular video, this truly was a piece of art and something SO special you can look back on for years to come of your big day. If you appreciate wedding videography and are as picky with it as I am, then Shutter & Sound is the company for you! Book them... you won't regret it!
Shutter and Sound Films thank you for making this masterpiece. September 8th, 2018 is a day we will never forget in large part thanks to you 💙 Ched and his wife may have been the ...
highlight of our entire experience. Such a pleasure working with you. You managed to capture the exact intimate moments, the quickness and awkwardness of Don and I, and our overall vision and feel of how our day went. Quinn, from the time we inquired and booked to our day and even after, you were always there. Thank you so so so much.

impressed with our video wishing they would have had our "short" for their own weddings. These guys are truly talented and professional. I would recommend Shutter and Sound to anyone looking for a modern wedding video. They have an ability to capture the true feeling of the event. Doyle and his wife were great to work with as well! I personally am not the most creative person so I sort of depended on them to let me know what they wanted to do. Me and my husband felt very comfortable working with them.
I'm grateful for all their help and patience leading up to my wedding day. I highly recommend them!

t recommended we take a look at his company Shutter and Sound. After looking at some of Seth’s work and speaking with him over the phone, we knew we had found our videographer!
Seth worked with us before the wedding to determine a videography schedule that worked for everyone and made sure he and his second shooter were prepared for our big day. Then on the day of our wedding, he worked extremely well with our photographer and did a great job of capturing the moment without inserting himself in the moment. Plus he was flexible when the weather didn’t cooperate and we had to change our plan! I was SO HAPPY with our experience with Seth on the day of our wedding – he and the second shooter were so pleasant and I’m so glad they were a part of our big day!
After our wedding, we continued to experience great communication with Shutter and Sound. They were flexible when we decided to use a brand new song for our highlight video, and waited to create our video until the song was finally available. Then they completed our highlight video in a timely fashion and then quickly mailed our 3 blu rays and raw footage. We couldn’t be happier and are so thankful we chose Shutter and Sound to help capture our special day!

I remember Doyle asking me about what I wanted photographed and captured, thank you for caring about my outfits, my jewelry and every little detail. I am so grateful! It was also really nice just hanging out and talking to Doyle, I know our wedding was very loud and chaotic and Doyle handled everything so well! I am so proud of you, Doyle! I will cherish this video forever, and I hope you keep creating beautiful videos like this. Thank you for everything!

Shutter and sounds was great to work with. Our videographer assigned to us (Michael Cunningham) was fantastic. He was perceptive and flexible to our in the moment needs, worked ver...
y well with our photographer, and overall is a great person. After our wedding day he clearly got right to work as we got to see his great camera work and unreal / unique editing skills and style in our video while we were still on our honeymoon. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. Thanks again @cunninghamaesthetics ! And for reference here’s the video: https://vimeo.com/285111695
I wish I could give Shutter & Sounds more than 5 starts- Absolutely unbelievable! What drew me to this company when I was shopping around for videographers, was their cinematic eff...
ect to their videos. They truly stood out to me from all the rest with the quality of their videos.
On the day of my wedding, Michael & and his partner were great! They both had great personalities and what I truly loved most is they weren't in the way, they were just off to the side collecting this footage not knowing the beautiful work that would come of it.
We got our highlight video less than two weeks following the wedding and I was STUNNED with the result. The highlight video moved me to tears all over again and the compliments we got from friends and family and even strangers were outstanding.
For those looking for a videographer for their wedding I would just want to let you know how essential a videographer truly is. There is so much you miss on your wedding day and so many parts you want to relive, and having this video to look back on is such a gift. Shutter & Sound Films are phenomenal and my husband & I are over the moon with our video footage. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
My husband and I booked Shutter and Sound Films 8 days prior to our wedding. We were engaged for almost 2.5 years, and we were going back and forth on a videographer. Prior to book...
ing, we realized we were below budget and decided to book a videographer. We are SOOO happy we did. Quinn was very responsive to our emails/calls and the contract was executed a few days prior to our wedding day. We worked with Mike and Joe on our wedding day. They were present for almost 12 hrs, and we did not even notice them. We received our video on our honeymoon and less than a week after our wedding, it was such a pleasant surprise! We have watched it almost 10 times and multiple friends and families have messaged us about how much they love the video. Some say it even looks like a music video. We strongly recommend Shutter and Sound! We got the package with 12 hrs of raw footage, 3.5 minute highlight video with dialogue.
Just amazing! This gift is certainly a treasure!!! I cannot begin to describe the feeling of watching our highlight film after our wedding. 100% choose Shutter and Sound to capture...
